Cautionary Notes: Using Turmeric Essential Oil Safely
Turmeric essential oil, with its potent properties, is a valuable addition to wellness routines. However, it’s crucial to exercise caution and adhere to safety guidelines to ensure a positive and risk-free experience. Here are some essential cautionary notes for using turmeric essential oil:
- Dilution is key.
- Turmeric essential oil is highly concentrated, and using it undiluted on the skin can cause irritation. Always dilute turmeric oil with a carrier oil, such as coconut, almond, or jojoba oil, following recommended dilution ratios (e.g., 1-2 drops of turmeric oil per teaspoon of carrier oil).
- Sun Sensitivity:
- Turmeric oil may increase sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid direct exposure to the sun after applying turmeric oil to the skin. If sun exposure is inevitable, use sunscreen to reduce the risk of sunburn.
- Consultation for pregnant or nursing individuals:
- Pregnant or nursing individuals should consult with healthcare professionals before incorporating turmeric essential oil into their routine. While turmeric is generally considered safe, individual health conditions may vary.
- Staining Concerns:
- Turmeric has a natural yellow-orange color that may stain clothing and fabrics. Take precautions to avoid staining and consider using diluted amounts when applying to the skin.
- Use it with caution on sensitive skin.
- Individuals with sensitive skin or existing skin conditions should exercise caution when using turmeric essential oil. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek advice from a healthcare professional.
- Internal Use Caution:
- While turmeric is widely used in culinary practices, ingesting its essential oil should be approached with caution. Internal use should only be done under the guidance of a qualified healthcare practitioner.
- Keep Out of Reach of Children:
- Store turmeric essential oil out of reach of children. Accidental ingestion can be harmful, and the oil should be used only by adults who are aware of its proper handling.
- Consult healthcare professionals.
- If you have pre-existing health conditions, are on medications, or have concerns about using turmeric oil, consult with healthcare professionals for personalized advice.

This was my third purchase from this brand. The quality of the product is very good. (Their Cypress is another I’ve purchased that is very good.) The packaging is of top quality, with the batch date and expiration permanently printed on the box (versus a stamp or sticker). It came wrapped in cellophane, and the dropper was reinforced with a styrofoam sleeve. Plus, delivery was super fast, and the price was right. I don’t see how they could have done any better.

I’ve ordered vanilla and jasmine so far. The packaging was well thought out,, and there was no smell outside of the packaging. It came with a dropper that is super useful. Now, what’s the most important thing? The scent. Both of the oils had a strong scent that was on par with the plant. I would definitely purchase it again, just need to figure out the next scent. I’m sure I make a collection of these at some point but the smell is just 👏 amazing

I am going to be honest and discreet, as I can use discernment the first time I buy a product that’s outsourced like this, and like I said, I have people in my own family and people that are Chinese American. I just don’t know if this is 100% vanilla or organic and if so, I may spend a few more dollars and try a different brand That is, either non-GMO organic or organic doesn’t mean it always is; we’ve been fooled in the past, and like I said, I’m an ex US Air Force top-secret person who knows things and knows the truth.
I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings, but I want to be honest if they can honestly come back to me and say this is good and 100%; it doesn’t say it on the bottle. But then again, happy new year, as you don’t know who I am and you don’t know my background. Thank you.

My goodness! This must be the worst purchase ever. I’m not talking about the quality of the oil itself, which is very good, but the scent I picked. I love neroli and jasmine in general…but this one…no matter how much I blend it and dilute it with other oils: the result is always terrible. It smells like a funeral. The house turns into a graveyard…that typical smell of strong flowers and dark feeling…almost a hit of incense to it…horrible! I used it a couple of times and I “buried” in the cabinet…ugh 😩
